چکیده
The introduction of nucleic acids into cells is one of the most valuable and frequently used tools of biological science. Transfection methods are used for a range of applications, including gene function studies, modulation of gene expression, biochemical mapping, mutational analysis and production of recombinant proteins. The transfection techniques which are commonly used today can be classified into three groups: 1) methods that make use of genetically engineered viruses 2) chemical methods or methods that rely on carrier molecules and 3) physical methods or methods that deliver nucleic acids directly to the cytoplasm. › Technical Reference Guide

Stable Transfection of pEGFP-N1-MOG Plasmid to Utilize in Multiple Sclerosis Gene Therapy
Introduction: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease of the immune system: it attacks the myelin around the axons and leaves them exposed. Destruction of myelin weakens the electrical conduction of ions and thus leads to a lack of communication in the nervous system. Methods: In the present study, we constructed recombinant plasmid and then transformed to E. coli cell. The colonies containing...

متن کاملانتقال ژن به سلولهای بنیادی مزانشیمال موشی: بررسی مقایسهای دو روش ویروسی و غیر ویروسی
Background and Aims : Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are attractive targets for cell and gene therapy, because they can differentiate into many cell lineages. Hence, finding an efficient and suitable method for transferring of genetic materials to these cells is very essential. In this study, we evaluated the efficiency of two methods of gene transferring, viral and nonviral, in transfection...
متن کاملIn vitro Labeling of Neural Stem Cells with Poly-L-Lysine Coated Super Paramagnetic Nanoparticles for Green Fluorescent Protein Transfection
Background: The magnetic nanoparticle-based transfection method is a relatively new technique for delivery of functional genes to target tissues. We aimed to evaluate the transfection efficiency of rat neural stem cell (NSC) using poly-L-lysine hydrobromide (PLL)-coated super paramagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPION). Methods: The SPION was prepared and coated with PLL as transfection agent...
متن کاملA Model to Study the Phenotypic Changes of Insect Cell Transfection by Copepod Super Green Fluorescent Protein (cop-GFP) in Baculovirus Expression System
Background: Baculovirus expression system is one of the most attractive and powerful eukaryotic expression systems for the production of recombinant proteins. The presence of a biomarker is required to monitor transfection efficiency or protein expression levels in insect cells. Methods: The aim of this study was to construct a baculovirus expression vector encoding a copepod super green fluore...
